Financial Support
Financial support for graduate students is provided in the form of fellowships, teaching assistantships, and research assistantships. All admitted students will receive support. There is no separate application for financial support.

Ph.D.s: Fees, Non-resident Tuition fellowship if needed, and research and teaching appointments
We encourage applicants to apply for fellowships from sources other than U.C. Berkeley. U.S. citizens and permanent residents are particularly encouraed to apply for the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Defense Science Engineering (NDSEG) fellowships.
