Bin Yu

binyu@stat.Berkeley.EDU

Bin Yu has worked on research topics from empirical processes, statistical inference, and information theory. She is currently working on problems related to Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods, quantization in signal processing, and in applying concepts of information theory to statistical problems arising from physical mapping of the Human Genome Project. In general, her research is largely motivated by problems of stochastic modeling.
