After completing his undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley, Oliver decided to stay around and joined the School of Public Health. He received his M.P.H. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in May 2004 and is currently working towards his PhD in Biostatistics under the supervision of Professor Mark J. van der Laan.
